The 5 best-reviewed games on Steam [2022]

With Steam being the most popular gaming platform and marketplace for PC players, it’s only natural that we would want to write about it on this The 5 best-reviewed games on Steam. Steam, despite being the older one compared to some of it’s rivals has managed to remain on top of the PC gaming world and the reason for that is not exactly a mistery.

Steam is simply the best because it offers the greater ammount of games than other competitors while also having the best sales all year round and a clean, bug-free UI thats other platforms lack.

Across the millions of users using steam on a daily basis, some of them definitely wonder what the top rated games are on the platform. If you happen to be one of those people too, continue reading and you won’t be disappointed.

We’ve Listed The 5 best-reviewed games on Steam Below:

 5. Factorio

Factorio is the fifth best rated game on steam and that is no coincidence. This games unlike some others on this list is a new game released a just two years ago by Wube Software LTD. The premise of the game is to build the best automated factories thst the player is capable of, this of course requires some degree of intelligence and well though out plans. The game offers a great variety of tools that the player will definitely in order to upgrade their facilities and equipment.

The fun thing about this game and the reason it is so popular and loved, is the fact that the game has limitless possibilities meaning that the same scenario will hardly occur on two separate playthroughs. The only limit is the players imagination!

 4. Hades

Hades is another fairly new game released in September 17 that has managed to reach this list in an impressive forth place. It was published and developed by Supergiant Games and as of writing this, has gathered 168,014 reviews on Steam. Hades is the only roguelike game on this list. In the game you play as a character named Zagreus who is the son of Hades and the objective is to escape the Underworld and finally reach Mount Olympus.

As some of you can already tell this game is based heavily on Greek Mythology and talks about the Gods of Olympus and their Underworld counterparts. This game has some impressive combat and enemies which vary from simple enemies, to gods. I personally recommend this game to anyone how likes the idea of action roguelike games such as this one.

 3. Stardew Valley

Stardew Valley is the third top-rated game on steam developed and published by ConcernedApe back in February of 2016. It’s the first older game that we see on this list, don’t let it’s age or graphics fool you though. It may seem like a simple game but in actuality it’s way more complex than the average player would anticipate. The game starts with the player who just inherited his grandfather’s farm in a small village.

In this game you try to survive by planting crops in your farm, it’s not as simple as it sounds though because crops can rot making you unable to eat them. That’s why you have to be careful and watch over them. The village of course has other residence, each one with their own unique characteristics, that you can always talk and make friends out of.

 2. Portal 2

Out of all the games so far Portal 2 must be the most familiar to you and that is to be expected. This game as well as it’s prequel (Portal), are two of the most loved games of all time with many users considering them the best gaming franchise in the world. Portal 2 was developed and published on Steam by Valve back in April 19th of 2011. Despite being so old the game has maintained it’s popularity and has stood the test of time, it’s fanbase is a very loyal one and the community is considered to be a friendly one.

The game starts witb you, the main cvharacter, being woken up by a strange voice, telling you that you have been asleep for 50 days. Portal is a game where the player needs a strong imagination and problem-solving skills in order to beat, especially when getting to the final levels. This game is mainly single player but it also supports co-op, thats way you can not only play alone, but with friends too!

 1. Terraria

Terraria was released just three months after Portal 2, 16th of May 2011 and has managed to become one of the most famous games in the world. As of today it has managed to collect 733,430 reviews and has managed to get the best score out of any other game on this list! Terraria is a another seemingly simple game but that is far from the the truth. This game’s world is a complex one filled with unique and different things everywhere you look.

Like most other surival games, it becomes progressively more difficult as the time passes, forcing you to fight monsters and bosses in oder to attain items and materials you need to progress further into the game. People ofter say that Terraria has what a similar game, Minecraft, lacks which is multiple bosses and what seems to be an infinite ammount of new items and monsters.
